After more than 40 years teaching university courses in ecology, plant biology, and environmental science, I am now retired and focusing my creative energies on nature photography and videography.

With this webpage, and my complimentary YouTube channel, I hope to inform and entertain viewers to enrich their understanding and appreciation for the incredible beauty of our natural surroundings.

This requires that I shift my focus from seeking out “teaching moments” to paying greater attention to composition and acquiring quality images that engage the viewer in the “story” as well.
